Community Safety Message - Bike Thefts

We have seen a recent increase in reports of bike thefts in the area. Your Neighbourhood Policing Team is aware and carrying out patrols.

You are encouraged to take extra steps to keep your bikes secure:

Use designated bike racks where possible and avoid leaving bikes in poorly lit or isolated areas.

Do not leave children’s bikes insecure and on view in your gardens. Ensure you, or your children, put them away in a secure locked shed or similar safe place.

Always lock your bike with a strong D-lock or chain, securing both the frame and wheels.

Register your bike on the bike register database ( www.immobilise.com). This helps police return stolen bikes when recovered. Immobilise is a police approved Secured by Design initiative and ISO 27001 certified to ensure your data is protected to the highest standards.

If you see any suspicious behaviour, please report it immediately via 101, Live chat | North Wales Police or 999 in an emergency.
